It's a bit disturbing that you won't teach it because you didn't like some of the themes. Surely the bad is as important as the good in an educational setting. I didn't like it for similar reasons, and many others, but avoiding it is basically whitewashing history. That might sound hyperbolic given how recent it is, but I don't see the difference.
